Re: Team V Spurs
first 20mins we will match them and prob have more of the ball.............. at which point we will give away a shocking goal and lose comfortably.

for the first goal i'm predicting one of the back four giving the ball away, or getting hit on the break from our own corner/free kick.

happy days.

There's isn't a chance that we're going to keep Calleri, not one.

Re: Team V Spurs
If AC is still injured it surely makes sense to leave him out tonight in the hope of a full recovery for the last two games.

So we are left with Calleri and Ayew again, well its an opportunity for them to show we should keep them for next season. As it is I suspect any goals we might get will come from Lanzini or Kouyate.

What a sad mess the liars who own our club have made of it, and to think they are allegedly thinking of Sturridge for next season - defies belief!!

Carroll Spurs update

Andy Carroll is not going to make the squad for tonight’s game against Spurs and with Diafra Sakho ruled out for the season the job against Spurs has become 100 per cent plus more difficult.

We have heard this morning that Carroll will be out with his groin still troubling him whilst manager Slaven bilic claimed yesterday that Sakho won’t reappear again this campaign.

And that means we will likely be relying on Callieri and Ayew up front as the Irons face a team which Bilic has declared as the best in the league despite Chelsea’s top of the table spot.

We seem left to rely on a team which has looked good defensively over the last couple of games but with not a lot on offer up front.

Meanwhile a confident Spurs squad are set to field a team which is unlikely to show much change from the tam that beat Arsenal.

The likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen who have scored in the last four games are all expected to feature.

Re: Team V Spurs
We have to be as compact as possible and get the midfield under control. Lanzini will be able to drop back to make 4 in midfield along with wing backs and deny Spurs space as possible or they will murder us. It may not work but I hope Bilic has worked out he does not have the pace or quality in the squad, even when fit, to try taking the game to teams like Spurs as we have seen. We need to be hard to break down and hope to catch them on the counter because we will not see much of the ball IMO. The team below plays everyone in their natural position. Seems that might be worth trying a bit more?
